Announcing the DevFi Podcast
I alluded to this in my last post, but now it's time to make it official. Say hello to the DevFi Podcast.
Chris Shea and I have been working on this for about a month now, and we're pretty excited to release the first episode, a discussion about building software vs. buying vs. forking, and an interesting interview with Dan Berger, the long-time Ruby developer and contributor who forked the interpreter.
This is our first show, so things might be a bit rough around the edges. But please, give it a listen, and give us all the feedback you can spare. We're trying to make a great podcast for software developers, as well as start a community of developers who want to be better at their craft.
I'm attempting to do something useful with my experience as a software developer, and as a manager of development teams. And besides, I get to act silly near a microphone with someone who has as much passion for development as I do.
Chris has been providing guidance to new Ruby developers for years in comp.lang.ruby, so he's the prefect fit for this podcast. And together, the two of us can possibly make something worth listening too.
